Directed by Stephen Gaghan, the film Gold is an American crime adventure movie. The film stars Matthew McConaughey as Kenny Wells and Édgar Ramírez as Michael Acosta, a geologist. On top of the poster, Gold Ray Bans set the atmosphere of the movie. Kenny Wells is an unlucky and desperate businessman who teams up with a geologist to find gold in the uncharted jungles of Borneo, Indonesia. When the exploration starts, they initially don’t find anything. Then Kenny is struck with malaria and nearly dies. When he gets better, Acosta gives him the good news that they found gold – and lots of it. From then on, it is a roller-coaster of Wall Street investors, Indonesian aristocrats, and lots of money.
Loosely based on a true story, the movie portrays greed and betrayal at the ends of the earth. Gold communicates the idea that great amounts of money and success do not make people any smarter or humbler. It is the story of a man who finds himself on top of a massive amount of gold, which seems to solve most of his problems but also causes several new ones. The film was shot in New York City, New Mexico and Thailand. Even though it received mixed reviews from critics, it also got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
Gold Ray Bans: The Movie and The Sunglasses

In the movie, Matthew McConaughey’s character wears Ray-Ban Aviator Large Metal sunglasses ; Ray-Ban Aviator 3025. Both classic and contemporary, the Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses often help in portraying manly and adventurous characters, which is again the case in the film Gold. Edgar Ramirez also wears Ray-Bans in the movie but the Classic Round ones. Acosta is a typical gangster in the tropics with linen blazers and a straw fedora.
